the Wonder of Life
One
trait that all life forms have in common is that when an individual
has grown up, it has the ability to create offspring. Something that
is pretty much unique to life. No-one ever saw a rock grow, or a
piece of plastic reproduce. Life, though, does exactly that.
Our
ability to GIVE life is astonishingly beautiful. They say that you
don‘t know what you got until you lose it. People who have lost the
ability to reproduce often confirm that theory. They would have loved
to take care of a child of their own, with their face and their
characteristics, but unfortunately this gift is denied them. That is
exactly what life is: it is a gift. Like with any gift, you yourself,
who receives it, is not responsible for its existence. None of us
asked to be born and yet, we were born. It can be difficult, in fact
it is bound to be difficult, but as I will later explain, it is bound
to be beautiful just as well. We have a free will that was handed to
us through the gift that we received. At first, we didn't know what
it was but the moment that we tore apart the wrapping and unveiled
the true nature of our gift was the moment when we realized that we
are free. Freedom in every aspect of life means the potential for
self-actualization in every thing we do. We are free to express who
we are deep inside by our actions. But freedom also means that you
are unrestricted in the ways you can treat your life. You may end it;
like a present that wasn't asked for and is despised, it can be
thrown away - it is up to you. I know how tough the times can be but
if you chose to endure and stand your ground, you will earn yourself
a place and right to be here on earth. If you win the fight, you'll
prove to yourself that despite it all, your life is worth living.
The
wonder of life is breathtaking to think about. How could something so
different arise in this cold environment? What caused its existence?
Humans have always questioned the nature of things. We have always
been looking for an explanation, that's just the way the human brain
works. Due to this longing we have always believed in divine
entities. But we will not be able to prove the existence of a
creator of the universe, for this entity would have to stand outside
of our universe, in another layer running parallel to it, but that is
unlimited. We ask for an answer, but in this life the answer is
unreachable. We are confined to the universe, which sounds strange if
you put it that way but there's really not enough words to express my
belief of metaphysics and the way the universe is structured. I don't
know whether that's the truth, but I think dealing with the inquiry
and figuring out possible answers is worthwhile. The best possible
answer that you find is what becomes your belief. One's belief is
one's personal truth, but I'll write more about it in another post so
stay tuned.
